The Alliance Française de Geelong has French classes to suit all levels:
– whether you are a beginner, or
– whether you already know some French, or
– whether you already have a good grasp of French,
– these classes are open to students who are at least 15 years old. There are several providers of Children’s French Classes in Geelong.
Additionally, we have classes for those wanting to travel to a French-speaking country.

Beginner Level Courses
The Beginners A1.1 course is open to students who have not studied French before or have very little French.
There are two classes to choose from:

The Beginners Plus A1.5 course is open to students who completed our Beginners A1.4 course in Term 4, 2024 with Rowena or Lou.

Short Courses for
Beginners & Travellers
French for Travellers is an online 10-week course for beginners and travellers. (Details available February 2025)

For students who have previously studied French for approximately two, three, five, six or eight years.

VCE French Oral
Exam Preparation
A series of fortnightly after-school conversation classes designed to help prepare Year 12 students for the VCE oral exam.
Online bookings for the 2025 series of classes will open early February 2025.
Booking Fee: Please note a 50c booking fee applies to each booking.
Our French lessons are held weekly on Monday evenings and Wednesday evenings, and are taught by French language and French-speaking experts.
